Covert Operative. Assassin. Author.

There are those who have honored and fought a “specialized” kind of war for their country. One in which the enemy was eliminated one at a time.

For first-time author Bob Sugar… he was one of them.

Bob Sugar presents his debut novel…

The Silver Affair

A firefight Erupts

A firefight erupts as Five Special-Ops Rangers, assigned to rescue one of their own from a foreign prison compound, parachute into enemy territory and extract not only their imprisoned Ranger but a French citizen.

The Frenchman tells the Rangers of silver bricks hidden underground but the team, at first, refuses to investigate as delaying their escape would be foolish.

Confrontation, explosive action, and unpredictable results ensue in the Swiss Alps as each Ranger narrowly escapes with his life.

About the Author.

During the last years of WWII and then into the Korean War Bob Sugar was a covert operative and assassin for the United States government. Although his operations were not legally permitted and were forever disavowed some of the fictionalized missions found in Mr. Sugar’s debut novel, The Silver Affair, and stories to follow, are based on actual events.

A native of Queens, Long Island, Mr. Sugar moved to California and remained until he joined the Second World War as a Merchant Marine just out of high school.

After the war he headed to college but was soon called back in to service for the Korean War. He was assigned as an Army instructor for anti-aircraft gunnery school and attended a program for chemical, biological, and radiological warfare at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He would eventually be assigned to furtive operations, unbeknownst to his peers, as an assassin on missions outside of the United States.

He is married and has five children.
